Hey there, fellow coders! 👋 Welcome to XposedOrNot, an open-source project living on GitHub. We’re all about helping people figure out if their personal info has ended up in some sneaky data breach. Pretty cool, right? In today’s world, data privacy and security is a big deal, and that’s where we come in.
So, what’s this hackathon all about? I am here to learn with you amazing developers, find some new teammates, and kick our project development into high gear. I am a huge believer in the magic of open-source and the awesomeness that springs from diverse minds working together. This hackathon is your chance to chip in to a project that’s fighting the good fight for internet users everywhere.

Rules and Judging Criteria ⚖️
The hackathon will be conducted under the following rules:
- Organisers and judges decisions are final in the results.
- All contributions must be related to the XposedOrNot project.
- Teams can comprise of individuals or a group of members.
- The entire project created during this hackathon should be open source.
- Respect for all participants is paramount. Harassment or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
- A detailed blog post, preferably with a video, should be posted and reachable over the internet during the review process.
- Each team can submit as many projects as possible for judging. However the prizes can be claimed only by the team lead(contact) who submits the project.
- Contributions can be either a standalone project taking the XposedOrNot API as primary input, or an enhancement to the overall XposedOrNot API or HTML repositories.
- All projects should be tagged with @XposedOrNot and #XON-Hackathon-2024 on GitHub to be eligible for review and judging.
The projects will be judged based on the following criteria:
- Creativity: How innovative and unique is the idea or solution?
- Usefulness: Does the contribution add value to the XposedOrNot project? Does it solve a problem or improve an aspect of the project?
- Completeness: Is the contribution a complete product or does it feel more like a work in progress? Is it ready for integration?
- Adherence to the theme: Does the project align with the goals of the hackathon and the broader vision for XposedOrNot?

To help you understand what we’re looking for, here are some ideas based on projects related to XposedOrNot:
- Creation of a new feature for the XposedOrNot API
- Resolution of a critical bug in the XposedOrNot project
- Integrating ChatGPT or custom GPT with XposedOrNot project
- Development of a Joomla plugin that uses the XposedOrNot API
- Improvement of the user interface for the XposedOrNot web application
- Creation of a WordPress plugin that integrates with the XposedOrNot API
- Significant enhancement of the performance of the XposedOrNot platform
- Creation of a Maltego plugin for seamless integration with XposedOrNot
- Development of an Android or iOS app that incorporates the XposedOrNot API
- Seamless integration of XposedOrNot with popular open source password managers
- Creating a one page visually appealing dashboard showcasing all of XposedOrNot metrics
- Integration of XposedOrNot with popular messaging platforms for real-time notifications and alerts
- Integration of XposedOrNot with leading Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms
- Development of a browser extension for Chrome or Firefox, bringing XposedOrNot functionality directly to users’ browsers

We’re thrilled to announce that we have some exciting prizes for the top three projects!
- First Prize: $750
- Second Prize: $500
- Third Prize: $250
Special Category Prizes:
Community Choice Award($500): Selected by community vote, this award goes to the most popular project as determined by the hackathon participants and public through GitHub Discussions poll.
Additional Prizes:
- Early Bird Prizes: The first 5 eligible submissions will each receive a prize of $100. This is to encourage and reward prompt participation.
- Random Draw Prizes: At the end of the hackathon, 5 participants will be selected at random to each receive $100. Every team that submits a project is eligible for this draw, ensuring everyone has a chance to win.

Submissions 📬
Ready to submit your fantastic project? Here’s how:
GitHub: Push all your code to a public GitHub repository. If your project involves changes to the XposedOrNot repositories, submit a pull request to the relevant XposedOrNot repository. Don’t forget to include a descriptive README with information about your project, how to run it, and any other pertinent details.
Documentation: Write a detailed blog post or create a video explaining your project, its functions, and the process of building it. This should be publicly accessible.
Submission: Fill out our submission form with your team details, a link to your GitHub repository, and a link to your blog post or video.
Hackathon Registration Link: Register your details for hackathon participation.
